Why doesn't my RCB recognize this emulator as being installed? I tried every other emulator cmd path available and still none worked. It just says "launch game x" and doesn't launch anything. When I select Mupen64Plus AE either root or regular my roms don't launch. With the other two RCB recognized them both as "(installed)" in the emulator cmd prompt and I was able to select them and have it work instantly. So deterioration of CPU might play a part.I set up RCB and I managed to get two emulators working NESoid, and SuperGNES, but cannot seem to get MUpen64Plus AE to work on my xbmc ouya install. Medium with textures worked great for me on Majora's Mask until I dropped it for like a year and then came back to it and it lagged like hell.

If you have to use Fast it just makes renders and textures look like shit, defeating the point. Similarly, if you use the GlideN64 Medium, Accurate, or Very Accurate emulation profiles, you can use high-res textures that are downloadable for many titles, especially the popular ones. Sometimes you don't even necessarily need to use a lower end profile. If you're running into bugs or crashes, try selecting profiles, then emulation, then select a new profile. This could be a placebo effect but it seems better to me. Even if you know your screen is "720p", it's not going to be the exact same dimensions as your phone. If you have the CPU for it, I find it's better to set to native resolution rather than choose one specifically, especially if you are going to stretch the image to fit the phone.

However, it's far less "enthusiastic" than Goldeneye & Perfect Dark's auto aim. But realize it will be harder than console shooters because they use aim assist without telling you. Congratulations, now you have standard dual-analog first person shooter controls! Optional: if you're a pro, you can turn off auto aim now that aiming is not an absolute chore. Now for both games, select the game, then settings, then controller, then controller 1 profile, then select "Goldeneye & Perfect Dark". In the in-game menu for both games, select the 1.2 control scheme, and switch the default looking mechanic in the adjacent menu so it's not inverted. Map the right analog stick on your controller to the analog stick, map the left analog stick on your controller to the C buttons, and map the Z button to right trigger. None of the other 40 N64 games on my phone have this option in cheats, but it's always worth a look if you are playing a very obscure title.įor Goldeneye & Perfect Dark: select profile, then controller, then "+", and name it "Goldeneye & Perfect Dark". And boom, buttery smooth frame rate on two of the more demanding N64 titles, no romhack required.

This is mainly because I'm not sure how this works exactly, it's not quite an internal CPU overclock because it doesn't cause some certain games to run fast like CPU overclock does in ePSXe, and frame rate gets WORSE on 1 than on higher numbers if you have a low end device.įor Banjo Kazooie and Banjo Tooie: select the game, then settings, then cheats, then check 60 FPS. Not sure if this is the limit or if it would be even better with a better device. It took Goldeneye from 12-18 FPS to 30-60 FPS on my measly Snapdragon 632. This gives you a much higher frame rate on any game whose frame rate is uncapped. Select a game, then settings, then advanced, uncheck "use default count per operation", then below it change count per operation to 1. Hey guys, just wanted to share some tips and tricks that has made my N64 emulation experience much better.
